Woodware – Christmas Greetings for the Men in our Lives

On Woodware Witterings this week we are looking at cards that would be suitable for men so I have got out the Stampendous Truck Tidings set

9

The set includes four stamps and three matching dies. The Stampendous dies cut the image perfectly on the stamping line.

1

I love the way the truck has been drawn.

2

I have added some colour to the wheels and the lights with a Sakura silver PenTouch

4

For the background of the card I cut strips from the 6 X 6 Seasonal Prints pad and then used the Big Square punch to make the tales.

5

I just positioned them on the card.

3

The greeting is from the same set, it has been die cut with the Stampendous Build a Wreath die set.

3a

I inked the edges with Jungle Crafter’s Ink.

6

and loaded it into the truck!

8

Then I added some snow for my truck to drive through. I used the Emboss Gloss from ClearSnap to draw a rough line along the ground. The added a layer of Stampendous Chunky White embossing powder, and heated from underneath, while it was still warm I added some powder from the Spoonful of Snow kit, this kit has a good mix of powders and glitters. Again heat from underneath.

Here is a short video from Fran of Stampendous introducing the Truck Tidings set.

Woodware Traditional Christmas – what does it mean to you? – take 2

Me again with another traditional Christmas card

18

I have gone with red and green again and a fat robin, very traditional.

11

The bird is from the Stampendous Winter Tweets there is two sets one is cling rubber stamps and the other are the dies that cut the shapes. These are really easy to use and they cut beautifully. I have stamped with Bark Crafters and the coloured with Sakura Water Colour Pencils.

10

I love the way that the water colour pencils adds texture to the colouring.

14

the holly leaves are from the same set. I have added glossy accents to the berries.

16

The stamp, which I have used a lot comes from an older set of Clear Magic set designed by Jane Fluffy Robin.

13

down the side and at the bottom of the card I have stuck some 3mm satin ribbon. All of the pieces have been attached with foam pads at various heights.

Woodware Sketch Number 44

On the Woodware blog this week we have a sketch

44-July_2015

I like this sketch, Gill yesterday turned it into a Christmas card and I can see lots of possibilities for Christmas, exciting!

So here is the card that I have made with the sketch

5

I have used a Dreamweaver die and a Clear Magic stamp designed by Jane.

1

The Leafless Tree die was cut from navy pearlescent card from my stash.

2

I used the ColorBox Emboss Gloss wand to add some watermark ink to the tree and then added silver embossing powder randomly over the tree.

3

then to make the pendants I cut strips of navy and blue card with a V in the bottom. I put these together with double sided tape.

4

Then die cut the second largest oval from the Dreamweaver Long Nesting Ovals and stamped on it with the wording from Jane’s Heart Garden Clear Magic stamp.

7

I used a Tombow Glue Stick to attach the tree, I deliberately was very heavy handed with the glue, so that it spread when I pressed the tree to the card. Then I covered the tree with Multi Crystal Glitter, by doing it this way I got a more random spread of glitter.

This card has actually been handed over to the bride and groom.

6

On the inside I added the large oval cut with the Dreamweaver dies and topped it with a tag from the Elegant Tags Everyday Messages. I used the High Bond Tape to attach the oval, just around the bottom and sides and popped in a gift card.

Woodware – House-Mouse® Week

This week on the Woodware Blog we are looking at the cute and cuddly House-Mouse®

Front

This little fella is Fall Float. I have coloured the leaves green, since it is supposed to be summer at the moment.

2

on the front I have stamped just the leaf part of the stamp.

4

I did the colouring with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

1

I stamped more on another sheet of the Woodware Mixed Media card.

3

For the inside I have used the Stampendous Build a Pop Up Die. The border comes from the same die set.

5

The cut out leaves have been added to the tabs at the top.

6

I really love the pop up die it is my favourite thing at the moment! Stampendous have an ever growing range of stamps that have been designed to work perfectly with it, but it works so well with lots of other stamps too.

Thanks for visiting, and don’t forget to check out the Woodware Blog for lots more House-Mouse® fun.
