Woodware – Texture, Texture, Texture….

On the Woodware Blog this week we are looking at texture, I have made some practice pieces that I will make into badges, card toppers or they may go on canvases, or they may sit in a box for quite some time…

all

this a selection of what I have been up to.

Here is a close up.

this is all of the pieces that I have used for this one. The pieces are cut from the Stampendous Pop Up Die set, Yes I know that sounds strange, but the die set includes dies to cut tags and the nest beautifully to make frames.

This is Dreamweaver Gold Embossing Paste, I applied it with a palette knife and added extra peaks.

While the paste was wet I added micro beads and Stampendous Glass Glitter, the one on the right just has beads.

Set them aside to dry.

I have then layered up the frames. I have use Glossy Accents

I embossed the top frame with Stampendous Seasonings Embossing Powder

Then I added glossy accents to the frame.

popped the decorated piece in and then topped up the Glossy Accents.

This one is Mat Black Embossing Paste

Covered in gold beads, you can see the texture here.

This one has mixed beads and then glitter in the gaps.

I have used the Emboss Gloss to add the embossing powder around the edges.

These were great fun to make, and I do have more, and I will get around to using them to add texture to my art!

You will see lots more texture on the Woodware Blog this week Thanks for visiting, see you soon!
