Woodware Challenge – No Paper No Problem….

The Woodware theme this week has been chosen by Jill from the Stampman in Skipton.

My card has been made under the extreme stress of Wimbledon this evening! I am a tennis fan and in particular Andy Murray, it is very stressful when he is not playing well, and that was today, but well he won.

I did start the card earlier in the day when we had a power cut, and I couldn’t use my computer, but it was not off for long so it didn’t get finished, until much much later.

Enough waffle…..

DorrieFrom this photograph you can’t really see the background and it is a very important for this theme.

So here it is and this is how I did it….

DorrieInkingI have used the Dreamweaver Petals Background stencil and inked with a watermark pad

DorrieWatermarkThe ink just makes it wet and tacky.

DorrieBground1Then add some powder I have used is the Dreamweaver Metallic F/X in Kiwi and in Nouveau Orange

I used a stencil brush to add the colours and then wiped off the excess with a cloth.

DorrieWordsThe words are a Francoise single stamp Many Thanks I have stamped them with the Clearsnap Watermark Pad and embossed them and the edge of the panel with Olive embossing powder.

DorrieLeaves

The leaves are doublesided sticky shapes. Peel offs that are sticky on both sides! I have covered them with the same Metallic F/X powders

DorrieFlowerThe ribbon is the 30mm Cream Organza which I have shrivelled with my heat tool. I added a strip of satin ribbon. the funny flower, I made by knotting the ribbon a few times and then attaching with Glossy Accents. I looks quite good on the card, I don’t think the photograph does it justice.

Why not check to see what the rest of the girls have been up to on the Woodware Blog and have a look at Jill’s great card and tutorial over on the Stampman Blog.

Thank you for visiting today, see you soon!
