Woodware Challenge Week 57 – Mercart Metal

Over on the Woodware blog this week we are all using Mercart Metal in our posts. The metal is a colour coated aluminum which is thin enough to punch. It also works well with the Cuttlebug or Big Shot and the Dreamweaver stencils.

I have used the new Dreamweaver Fairy Flower stencil, with teal metal. I layered it on the bronze metal which I embossed with  one of my favourite stencils the Petals Background.

I have layered it on cream card which I have edged with chocolate chalk Yink and the Clearsnap stylus tool.

The small Happy Birthday is also a new stencil and I embossed it on the teal metal too. I have sanded the top lightly to expose the silver underneath.I have used the inverted corner punch to finish off the happy birthday.

The background paper is from the 8 x 8 pad No Worries and I have used the Crafty Edger with the Tag Border and Corner. The ribbon comes from the Stitched Grosgrain box.

The metal is fun to use and just gives a different look to your cards, I hope that you are inspired to try it, why not pop over and see what the rest of the team have been up too with their Mercart Metal, on the Woodware Blog.
