Frantaged Gifts

This is just a quick post with a couple of frames that I have  Frantaged. They are just Ikea frames that I have rather a lot of, not quite sure how I managed it.

This is the Jumbo Hollyhocks that I have stamped and then gently coloured with chalks. I used some champange glass glitter in the centres of the flowers. On the frame I used the watermark pad and then a mix of the Aged Gold embossing powder and the Shaved Ice and some of the Mica Fragments. I have a mix that I have made up that I have just added until I like the look. If I want more of something in a place I just add some extra to the hot powder.

The card I have posted before and the frame was done in the same way as the Hollyhocks, I now have to do a silver and blue set for a new boy in the family.

I am linking this to the Stampendous Gifts Challenge

Woodware Challenge – Invitations

This week we are show casing invitations, I have been making invitations for my sons wedding, so I have done something different.

I have made an invitation for a wedding anniversary. I have used a Woodware Clear Magic set designed by Sheena Smart called Let’s Celebrate. I have stamped with Clearsnap’s  Watermark Pad and embossed with  chocolate powder. The stamps are fun to use and are very versatile.

The numbers can fit inside the hearts as do some of the words and the other words fit inside the box.

I coloured in the couple’s clothes with Sakura Souffle pens and added a bit of sparkle with the Clear Star pen. The paper is from the Stockholm collection.

For the inside I printed the wording on the computer and then inked the edges of the paper. The hearts were again coloured with the souffle pen and the clear sparkle.

This is a very simple invitation, but if it was for real I would have had to make a few, so keep it simple!

Thank you for visiting, you will find invitations all week on the Woodware Blog so take a look and see what the rest of the girls have been up to.

Woodware Cahllenge – Week 52 – Sketch 12

This week on Woodware we have another sketch challenge.

A very simple sketch which I have sort of followed, only a slight deviation!

I have been very luck to get some new Dreamweaver stencils to use, they will be in the UK next week, so here is a sneaky peek to tempt you.

This stencil is LM2012 Fairy Flower Circle. I have used Silver Embossing paste on black card. Then edged the black card with a Silver Krylon Leafing pen, then layered it all up.

The second new stencil is Small Happy Birthday LS1010 and I have embossed it with matte black paste.

I have added the spring green and black ribbon so that I can add this card into the Dreamweaver Blog Challenge, which is Black, White and a pop of colour.

Why not play along with our sketch or pop over to Woodware to see what the rest of the team have been up too?

Woodware Challenge – Children’s Cards

Over on the Woodware blog this week we are show casing Children’s Cards.

I have made a card with bunting inside

But I have messed about with it so long that it was dark before I took the photographs so sorry for that.

First the card I saw a tutorial on the internet and thought that it would work really well to hold my bunting, but I didn’t read it and now have no idea where I saw it!

So I scored and folded an A4 card in half with my Groovy Board. Then measure up 5cm from the bottom and made a mark, then used that to line it up in my trimmer to cut a triangle off the card.

Repeat for the other side and the attach them together.

I stamped happy birthday, from Jane’s Essential Birthdays Clear Magic set in wisteria Clearsnap Chalk ink and I decorated the fronts with the star cassette and the Crafty Edger. Inside and on the bunting the stamp is from Jane’s Clear Magic set Bubble Stars.

The background on the plain bunting is from the Rollagraph Simple Dots.

I have coloured with an assortment of Sakura pens.

The Peel offs are Sparkler Dots and they are available in a great assortment of colours.

With some blue Gingham Ribbon to keep it all closed.

It all fits into the flap on the inside of the card.

I think that this is a great card and gift, the bunting is so easy to use and as you can see it comes in packs of plain and scalloped.

I hope to play with the bunting again very soon!

The girls are all doing a great job with there cards this week they are all so much fun so pay a visit to the Woodware Blog.

Woodware Challenge – Red, White and Blue – London

Over on the Woodware blog this week the theme is Red, White and Blue, but with a difference. We are all using the London Cling Stamp from Stampendous.

The Stamp was designed by Fran to help us celebrate this special year in the UK’s history.

I had some photographs that I took a few years ago on an early morning walk around the Houses of Parliment.

So the London stamps fits them very well for a scrap booking page. I put in the Big Ben Tower but the other photographs are of the Queens Gate which she uses when she goes to open Parliment which she has been doing this week.

For the London stamp I used Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink from ColorBox and then coloured with Tombow pens.

I have three ribbons layered together to give me the red, white and blue. They are 15mm white organza, 10mm Grosgrain (red with white dots on the reverse side) and 7mm navy blue.

The crown is from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Charm Collection, I stamped and embossed with silver powder. Then I used the Aged Silver embossing powder to edge the red card that I mounted it on, I really like the Emboss Gloss from Clearsnap for edging card to hold my embossing powder, it is nice and thick and wet so it works very well with the heavy Frantage embossing powder.

The border is from the Artemio 5 Frames Scrap Booking Grid. The grid comes with a different border on each side but the scallop matches so it is easy to turn and match. I used the ClearSnap Stylus and the Oval white sponge tip to apply the ink which is Stormy Sea from the ColorBox Limited Edition range of pigment inks.

I really should do more scrap booking I always enjoy it when I do, it is nice to remember happy times.

Thank you for visiting why not pop over to the Woodware Blog and see what the rest of the girls have been up too this week.

The Red White and Blue challenge is open all month so why not play along with us? You will find out how here.

Woodware Challenge – Week 49 – Buttons and Bows

Over at Woodware this week the theme is Buttons and Bows, and boy I have found it difficult! Why well I think it was just to much choice, would I use a button punch, I have two. What about the wonderful range of buttons I have lots of bags of them. In the end I decided to use some Chippies this set is borders and buttons. I have made it into a twisted easel card.

The Chippies are white, I have just used the Clearsnap Watermark Pad on them and then embossed with the Stampendous  Aged Gold powder. (I used a small paint brush through the hole to hold the button while heating) I edged some of the buttons with the Emboss Gloss and Aged Silver powder.

The ribbon is the Silver Grosgrain and the Gingham is Brown and Cream, but I rubbed a Russet Brown Chalk Yink over both of the ribbons just to give them a slightly different look and to tie them together.

The border comes from the same chippie sheet. They are raised enough to act as a ledge to support the easel.

The buttons are nice and large so it is easy to get the ribbon through.

The stamp is Francoise’s Baby Patch Elephant and I have stamped and embossed with Chocolate powder. I have paper pieced the elephant with Stockholm 12 x 12 paper.

The base card is made from A4 Hairy Manilla cut to a square, and I have added a layer of the Yellow Pearl Card.

I hope that you like my card and that you will have a look at what the rest of the girls have been up to on the Woodware Blog

Woodware Clearsnap Blog Hop…….

Welcome to theWoodware and Clearsnap Spring Gifts Blog Hop!!!Whether you’re getting ready for Mother’s Day (US), graduation season, or just because, these gifts ideas can be made with a few Clearsnap inks, Rollagraph Stamp Wheels, and Woodware Craft Collection Clear Stamps. All week long we’ll be sharing inspiring gift ideas on our blogs..
So here we are at the end of our blog hop:(

It has been fun to find out how you can play along and be in with a chance to win a prize you will have to go to Clearsnap to find out how!

I have had fun this week and I really love the Simple Dots Jumbo Wheel and I have used it to decorate my frame.

The frame is one of the cheap ones from Ikea which I first coloured with ColorBox Raisin Pigment Ink which I applied with the stylus handle and a white foam tip.

Then I rolled the Simple Dots wheel over the frame, masking off the corners as I rolled.

I used the Happy Hands and the Water Mark cartridge and rolled it over a card and embossed it with pink ink and then used my raisin pad and stylus to colour the card lightly.

The baby word and the heart come from Francoise Baby Patch Elephant and I stamped it with Raisin and embossed with clear powder it is mounted on some craft card which I have used the simple dots on.

I am really pleased with how it has turned out, just slightly nicer than just a photo in a frame.

Not off you go and see what the rest of the girls have been up to and see if you can win! See you next week.

Woodware and Clearsnap are showcasing Jumbo Rollagraphs for you all week from Monday to Saturday so keep an eye on us!.

Woodeare Challenge Week 47 – Turquoise and Brown

The Woodware Challenge this week is a colour one and Turquoise and Brown and I am first.

I have used a Magenta cling rubber stamp Sketchy Flower I have stamped it twice on brown card with a ClearSnap Watermark pad and embossed it with Stampendous Aqua Powder and once on turquoise card this time I embossed it with Stampendous Chocolate embossing powder. The background I stamped with Stampendous Dreamy Leaves and again embossed it with the Chocolate powder.

I coloured the flowers with Sakura Clear Stardust pen and the leaves with Clear Glaze.

The greeting comes from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear set Ribbon Hope and the ribbon comes from the box set Stitched Grosgrain, which I have stuck down with double sided tape.

I have finished the card with self adhesive pearls in 3mm and 5mm.

I am sure that the cards will be wonderful this week over on the Woodware Blog so why not take a look?

Tahnk you for visiting!

Woodware Challenge Week 46 – Happy 21st Birthday

We are celebrating 21st birthday’s over on the Woodware blog this week, and I am celebrating my new sewing machine.

First of all I made the background on Woodware’s new white hammer card, I love hammer card so I am very happy that they now have hammer as well as linen and leather. I stamped with ColorBox Wicked Black dye ink the Stampendous cling Music Score stamp and the flourish from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Effel Tower set. I then inked with my stylus handle and a round foam tip I used a mixture of the Limited Edition pigment inks Blue Jeans and Stormy Seas.

I stamped the record player from the Artemio clear set called Office in wicked black again on the hammer card.

I then stamped  and embossed in silver the happy birthday wording and the key. The key comes from the Artemio Office set and the words were from Jane’s Essential Birthdays.

Then I stitched it all together!

You can use any sewing machine to sew through paper, the needle will become blunt so keep one just for paper and card. I just used a variety of the stitches that the machine has to offer and stiched the bits into place. I used a very small piece of double sided tape to hold the small pieces in place while I was sewing. If you do all your stitching on a single piece of card and then attach it to you folded card you will hide the back of the stitching and double sided tape will hold the stiching in place, so no need to finish off your ends!

I rounded all of the corners with the regular corner rounder.

I have a sewing machine that I had for years which I love very much, but it is quite heavy and I do worry about it sewing paper so I got this one from John Lewis after playing with someone else’s small one, this machine and the smaller version both sew well and seem to offer good value. They do make it in lilac, but they did not have any in stock the day I went to buy it!

I hope that you like my 21st card, to see what the rest of the girls have come up with visit the Woodware Blog.

Thank you for popping in see you soon!
